A history of 34 years
In 1988, after working as a tax auditor for the brazilian revenue service for 12 years, and having conducted more than 250 foreign trade audits, reviewing the import and export operations of the major companies in minas gerais in inspection procedures, the lawyer and professor Homero Leonardo Lopes started his own law firm to provide Legal and Customs Consultancy services to the private sector. In 1996, he founded HLL Advogados with attorney Fernando Pieri Leonardo, now a master in tax law from the federal university of Minas Gerais. In 1997, Flávia Pieri Leonardo, a lawyer who had recently graduated from Milton Campos Law School, joined the firm.
National and international scope
As the years went by, the firm expanded its activities to areas related to foreign trade and customs legislation, such as tax law, international law, business law, and civil law, in order to offer integrated legal solutions to its clients. It also expanded its corporate structure by including three new partners, attorneys André Marques Ferreira Pedrosa, Elisângela Oliveira de Rezende, and more recently, Daniela Lacerda chaves. The Chambers maintain constant technical training and professional updating, striving for excellence, focusing on its clients’ objectives, and constructing long-lasting and productive relationships.
